All opportunities below are great for individuals. Many of these will also work well for groups (youth, community, church, etc.) TSMKC loves to have women and men serve but we do recognize there are certain areas that are best served by women volunteers. Please note the areas that men and women are invited to serve.

The volunteer opportunities below are great places for individuals, groups, men, women, and teen helpers to serve!
Pursuit
First Wednesday of each month
5:30 – 8:00 PM
Volunteers are needed for greeting, registration, children’s program, dinner serving, and cleaning up at our monthly Pursuit gatherings, held at two locations, in Kansas City, Missouri, and Kansas City, Kansas.
Children’s Advisory Team
The Children’s Advisory Team works with the TSMKC Children’s Director to provide insight and guidance into the children’s program for monthly Pursuit and other TSMKC workshops. The Children’s Advisory Team actively serves at Pursuit, TSMKC workshops, quarterly meetings, and trainings.
Clothed with Dignity Boutique
Serve moms on any open boutique day (female volunteers only) OR volunteer to help process donations and stock the boutique.
Contact Michelle Hartegan, michelle@thesinglemomkc.org, if you’re interested in hosting a toiletries or gift card drive with co-workers, a church group, or neighbors.
The Single Mom KC Workshops
We often need volunteers for our workshops, from setup and registration to greeting and childcare/children’s program.

Leadership Teams
There are several teams that oversee all of the programs and events for TSMKC. Most of the teams meet once a month or every other month to plan and prepare the programs. Contact Michelle Hartegan, michelle@thesinglemomkc.org, if you are interested in serving on any of the following teams:

- Clothed with Dignity Boutique Team
- Workshop Team
Pursuit Small Group Facilitators
Training (provided) and monthly Pursuit team meetings are required in addition to attending monthly Pursuit gatherings.
Fundraising Team
From helping gather auction items to assisting with decor to tackling administrative tasks, we would love your help on our fundraising team!
Administrative Needs
A variety of needs, such as making copies, filling in spreadsheets, writing thank-you cards, making phone calls, sending emails, calculating volunteer hours, etc. Computer skills helpful!
Prayer Team
We believe that lives are changed through prayer. We desire committed prayer partners who will seek the counsel of the Lord with us, pray regularly for the single-mother families we serve, uphold the leadership and vision of The Single Mom KC, and intercede concerning urgent or new prayer requests.
