Part-Time Position | 8–12 hours per month
Children’s Program Manager
Purpose of this role: To coordinate and oversee the implementation of the Children’s Program during Pursuit or TSMKC workshops. Each Pursuit location will have a Children’s Program Manager who will oversee that consistency of logistics and program is maintained at their site. The Children’s Program Manager oversees that the mission and values of The Single Mom KC, as well as the mission of TSMKC Children’s Program will be carried out.
1. Work with TSMKC Director of Children’s Programs to ensure that the Children’s Program is
carried out.
2. Participate as a TSMKC Children’s Advisory Team member, attending all meetings and
trainings.
3. Connect with TSMKC Director of Children’s Programs for pre and post meetings for each
event.
4. Have a working knowledge of the DREAM curriculum.
5. Work with the Pursuit Program Coordinator, mom program Pursuit Site Coordinator, and
Workshop Coordinators to oversee all logistics, as needed.
6. Work with the host church staff to coordinate logistics for children’s programs the evening
of Pursuit or day of a workshop.
7. Works with TSMKC Director of Volunteer Services to manage children’s volunteers for the
event.
8. Oversee the children’s volunteers training on DREAM and general TSMKC guidelines for
the event at the beginning of each Pursuit or workshop.
9. Oversee the set up and clean up of all rooms before and after each event.
10. Oversee that all safety procedures and TSMKC children’s policies are followed.
11. Foster relationships with kids, moms, and volunteers.
- Experience working with children with special needs
- Strong leadership skills
- Good organizational skills
- Training in Trauma-Informed Care preferred
- Knowledge and experience in leading children’s ministry preferred
- Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred
Starting pay: $15.00 per hour
Hours: Approximately 8 hours per month for Pursuit gatherings + 8 hours per workshop, which take place about 1–2 times a quarter
The Children’s Program Manager reports to the Director of Children’s Programs and Director of Programs.
